Featured: January 19-January 25 2014 - Wolves As Friends - Wouldn't Be The Same

It is January 19th 2014 which means it is time to announce the next 'Song of the Week'.

From Lima, Peru comes this week's artist receiving our 'Song of the Week' feature. And, with his indie/folk/pop sound, Rodolfo Caceres, better known as Wolves As Friends, definitely deserves some attention for his unbelievable talent.

Rodolfo Caceres' project, Wolves As Friends, may have [just] started in January of 2012. However, this very talented young man [already] sits at over five thousand 'likes' on his Facebook page.

"Wolves As Friends released two songs in early 2012 and reached the finals and semi-finals of several international competitions; such as, UK Songwriting Contest, International Songwriting Competition and Unsigned Only Music Competition, becoming one of the most anticipated new artists coming out from the Peruvian music scene."

"The project had a first approach to the North American market in early 2013 with a promo tour for their debut EP, where they did five shows in New York City. They also took part in the SXSW Conferences in Austin, Texas, as well as played the 2013 Canadian Music Festival in Toronto, Ontario."

Wolves As Friends released their debut EP, titled Small Goodby
es, on May 12th 2013. Complete with five songs, the music draws influences from big names such as Ani Difranco, City And Colour, Fleetwood Mac, John Mayer, Mumford & Sons and others. And, the fifth and final track on the EP, named Slip Away, is earning this week's 'Song of the Week' spot.

The talent and skill this man shows in his music is certainly impressive. Every song is flawless and, of course, beautifully executed, making him earn this week's 'Song of the Week' spot with his phenomenal tune, Slip Away.

So, Rodolfo Caceres and his project, Wolves As Friends, is definitely worth checking out. His talent is clear and well, his music could not get any better.

As it says on the Wolves As Friends Facebook page, "Honest and simple, Rodolfo Caceres conveys heartfelt and meaningful thoughts about what it is to grow feeling left out and lost in the world."
