It is October 13th 2013 which means it is time to announce the next 'Song of the Week'.
Since 2011, the band earning this week's featured 'Song of the Week' spot has been attracting fans from all around the world. And, with the release of their latest album, those numbers have not slowed down.
No Good News, who live in Long Island, New York, first joined Facebook with their band in late January of 2011. And, of course, in [just under] three years Chris Regan (vocals / bass), Kevin Burke (guitar / backing vocals), Bobby Sciacca (guitar) and Harry Corrigan (drums / backing vocals) have earned [well over] two thousand 'likes' on their Facebook page, and just a few views short of seven thousand on their Youtube Channel.
What I loved about No Good News, the moment I first heard their available songs, was that they definitely know how to write good music. The four, who put forth a pop/punk style, have managed to create some very catchy songs. Infact, they recently just put out an incredible album earlier this year.
On March 2nd 2013, No Good News released their album, titled In Constant Comparison, to their Bandcamp page. Besides the phenomenal album title itself, the album is complete with eleven songs that will keep you wanting to hear more. And, amongst those songs, you will find this week's 'Song of the Week', Keep Quiet.
Each and every song that these talented, four young men have released has surely impressed fans galore. But, each song found on In Constant Comparison blends together so nicely, creating an overall perfect album.
No Good News recently announced, to their Facebook page on September 25th 2013, that Kevin Burke (guitar / backing vocals) would be leaving the band. The guys simply posted, "Hey everyone. So, the other day Kevin decided that he will no longer be a part of this band anymore. It really is a bummer to see him go and we wish him the best."
So, despite Kevin's upcoming departure, No Good News seem to be building up their schedules for the rest of 2013. They will be playing an event, on December 22nd 2013, in Patchogue, New York, which will be Kevin's last event. But, with everything these guys have accomplished, I know 2014 will be an even stronger year. And, Keep Quiet, certainly deserves this week's 'Song of the Week' spot.
