Featured: October 21-October 27 2012 - Pierce The Veil - King For A Day (Ft. Kellin Quinn)

It is October 21st 2012 which means it is time to announce the next 'Song of the Week'.

The band being featured this week may be a little more known then some. From San Diego, California, Pierce The Veil's popularity is growing rapidly in the music scene all around the world.

In June of 2007 this band released their first record, titled A Flair For The Dramatic. The record caught the eyes of many and when it came time for their second release, titled Selfish Machines, released in 2010, this band had a massive fan base already established. So, with the release of their latest record, Collide With The Sky, released in July of 2012, this band is all over the map, yet again. And, their massively known first single, King For A Day, featuring Sleeping With Siren's vocalist Kellin Quinn, is certainly getting the 'Song of the Week' spot this week.

King For A Day is one of those songs that you just have to listen to... To me, it is a song proving the talent, once again, that this American band has.

It seems every record they release, and every single they put forth, the world goes nuts. They are now on a North American tour, until mid November of 2012, to promote their latest record. Touring with big names such as Sleeping With Sirens and Tonight Alive, among others, the tour has been selling out quick.

The success of Pierce The Veil has also been happening fast. Since signing with Fearless Records in August of 2011, this band has continued to go nowhere but up within the music industry. So, the future of this band will definitely be amazing.

Something else that makes this band even more incredible is, not only their unique sound, but the phenomenal vocals of Vic Fuentes. There is something amazing about this young man's voice, and, together with their sound, it makes their music stand out even further.

Another cool fact about this band is that brothers Vic Fuentes (vocals / guitar / keyboard) and Mike Fuentes (drums / backing vocals), alongside Tony Perry (guitar) and Jaime Preciado (bass / backing vocals), appeared on the Punk Goes Pop: Volume 4 CD, released in November of 2011. Together they covered Bruno Mars' original song, Just The Way You Are. Plus, Vic lent his voice, yet again, to the Punk Goes Pop: Volume 5 CD, released in November of 2012 on Mayday Parade's cover of Somebody That I Used To Know, which is definitely worth checking out.

So, Pierce The Veil is here to stay and is certainly a band you need to check out soon. With their latest release proving, even more, that this band is capable of producing incredible tunes, they will certainly continue to grow all around the world.

Alongside checking out the track for King For A Day, you will undeniably want to check out the official music video of this week's 'Song of the Week' as well. The video is, well, something you need to check out and witness for yourself. You can find it on Pierce The Veil's official Youtube Channel, here:
