Featured: May 2012-2013 - Message Through Motion

A lot can happen in only twelve months. Some artists or bands will disband, while others may be climbing the charts.

So, we decided to take a look back and check up on the artists or bands who have previously received a 'Band of the Month' spot to see where they are now.

When it comes to the [Belleville, Ontario] band, Message Through Motion, who received the May 2012 'Band of the Month' spot, they have certainly been expanding since being featured [just] one year ago.

Shortly after being featured on the official Basement Entertainment website, their drummer, Gregory Murphy, parted ways with the band and a new drummer, Michael Lajoie, took his place.

But, besides the line up change, the band is [still] stronger than ever.

On August 18th 2012, the boys released their official music video for a song titled Walk On Water, which would appear on their upcoming full length album, set to be released in early 2013. The video immediately got their fans' attention, increasing in views quite rapidly.

Fast forward one month and Message Through Motion travelled around playing live in promotion of their first EP, titled The Searching, which they released back on July 8th 2011, as well as their upcoming album. They hit up a few cities across Ontario, including places such as Whitby, Ontario, among a few others.

On January 22nd 2013, Message Through Motion released their highly anticipated full length album, titled Earthshaker. And, comprised of twelve unbelievable tracks, the album was a true success.

Since the release of Earthshaker the guys have kept busy releasing several cover videos to the band's Youtube Channel. On April 10th 2013 they released their version of Justin Timberlake's song Mirrors and on May 6th 2013 they posted a cover of Copeland's song Chin Up, both of which having already received plenty of views.

So, the future of Message Through Motion continues to look phenomenal. I am positive there will be plenty more spectacular covers to come, along with many more event and even more excellent tunes.

You will certainly want to continue to follow this band and we wish Message Through Motion all the best.
