On Wednesday, May 2nd 2012, Basement Entertainment founder and operator, Amy Blackwell, received the Kitchener Youth Action Council (KYAC) Youth Entrepreneurship Award during a ceremony at the Kitchener, Ontario City Hall.

A message from Basement Entertainment's founder and operator, Amy Blackwell:
"I was insanely honoured and blown away, to say the least, when they called my name to the stage saying that I had won. It has been an unreliable journey thus far with Basement Entertainment and I know that things will only continue to grow. So, thank you so much to everyone out there who has supported the company along the way. Your continued dedication is what keeps my dream alive, so thank you from the bottom of my heart."
